She received her bachelor’s in biomedical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and her master’s in medical sciences from Boston University. Deepthi worked under Drs. Matcheri Keshavan and Paulo Lizano studying neural and retinal biomarkers of psychosis from 2018-2022. At UC Berkeley, Deepthi is co-advised by Dr. Bruno Olshausen and Dr. Jacob Yates. Her research interests focus on eye movements, their computational benefits to vision, and how movement aberrations in disease states alter encoded visual information.
