Robert Reinhart, PhD
Robert M. G. Reinhart is the Director of the Cognitive & Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory and an Assistant Professor of Psychological & Brain Sciences and Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. He completed his Ph.D. in psychology at Vanderbilt University. The Reinhart Lab uses electrophysiology, noninvasive neuromodulation, computational models, and behavior to better understand the nature of visual perception and cognition in the healthy adult brain; the breakdown of these processes that occur during aging and mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and obsessive-compulsive disorder; and how to use insights gained from this research to optimize visual cognition in healthy people and restore abilities in aging and clinical populations. Dr. Reinhart is the principal investigator on several NIH-funded grants and the recipient of philanthropy. The importance of Dr. Reinhart's research has been recognized by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS; PINS Prize for Neuromodulation).
