Dr Siegfried Wagner is Clinical Research Fellow at the Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London and ophthalmology resident at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and European Board of Ophthalmology and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr Wagner received his medical degree from the University of Oxford in 2012 and his Master’s degree in epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. 

Dr Wagner’s research focuses on characterizing ocular structure and function in systemic disease through three main strands – i) systemic prognosis following ocular disease ii) discovery of novel eye-body associations revealed through retinal imaging and iii) utility of retinal imaging-based biomarkers for prediction of heart attack, stroke and dementia.
